How and when we offer refunds for paid rzx.bio subscriptions, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for EU consumers.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how we offer refunds for paid subscriptions to rzx.bio.

It is part of our Terms & Conditions and applies in addition to the statutory right of withdrawal granted to consumers in the European Union and Romania.

2. Free Plan

The free plan involves no payment and therefore no refund applies. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

3. Right of Withdrawal — EU and Romanian Consumers (14 days)

Under Directive 2011/83/EU and Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014, consumers residing in the EU or Romania have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription contract within 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract, without giving any reason.

Important — Article 16(m) exception for digital services: when you purchase a rzx.bio paid plan and start using paid features, you will be asked to provide express consent to immediate performance of the service and to acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been made available to you.

If you have not yet given that consent, or have not yet started using paid features, you may exercise your right of withdrawal during the 14-day window by writing to [email protected] with a clear statement (you may use the model statement in section 8.1 of our Terms & Conditions). We will reimburse the full amount within 14 days, using the same payment method as the original transaction.

4. Refunds Outside the 14-Day Withdrawal Window

After the 14-day right of withdrawal has expired (or after you have provided the Article 16(m) consent and started using paid features), refunds are not automatic. We will however consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis where:

  1. there has been a material technical failure on our side that we were unable to remedy within a reasonable time and that prevented you from using the paid features;
  2. you were charged due to a clear billing error (e.g. duplicate charge, charge after cancellation);
  3. you are protected by mandatory consumer law in your country of residence that requires a refund.

Where applicable, refunds are typically prorated for the unused portion of the current billing cycle.

5. Cancellations and Renewals

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You can cancel renewal at any time:

  • from your account dashboard, or
  • from the Paddle billing portal linked in your invoice (for Paddle-managed subscriptions).

When you cancel, you keep access to the paid features until the end of the current billing cycle. Cancelling does not by itself trigger a refund for the current period — it simply stops future renewals.

6. How to Request a Refund

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  1. your account email and username;
  2. the order or invoice number from Paddle (or the SEPA reference);
  3. the reason for your request.

We aim to respond within 5 working days and to process approved refunds within 14 days.

7. Refunds via Paddle (Merchant of Record)

Card payments on rzx.bio are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited as Merchant of Record. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method via Paddle. Currency conversion at the time of refund may produce minor variations from the original amount in your local currency.

8. Refunds via SEPA Bank Transfer

If you paid by SEPA bank transfer to AVi Kairos Srl, an approved refund will be sent back to the same IBAN you used for the original transfer. We may ask you to confirm the IBAN before issuing the refund.
