RZX.bio respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws.


Reporting Copyright Infringement


If you believe that content on RZX.bio infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA notice to our Designated Copyright Agent using our Copyright Infringement Report Form or by email.


Required Information for DMCA Notice


Your notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list
  2. Identification of the infringing material including the specific RZX.bio profile URL(s) where the material is located
  3. Your contact information including name, address, telephone number, and email address
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response Process


Timeline

  1. Initial Review: Within 24 hours of receiving a valid DMCA notice
  2. Action Taken: Within 48 hours if the notice meets all requirements
  3. User Notification: Immediately upon removal of content

Actions We May Take

  1. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  2. Notify the user who posted the content and provide them with a copy of your DMCA notice
  3. Terminate accounts of repeat infringers (see Repeat Infringer Policy below)


Counter-Notice Procedure


If you believe your content was removed in error or that you have authorization to use the material, you may submit a counter-notice.


Required Information for Counter-Notice


Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your contact information including name, address, telephone number, and email address
  2. Identification of the removed content and the location where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales, or if you're outside the UK, that you consent to jurisdiction where our registered address is located
  5. Your physical or electronic signature


Counter-Notice Process


Send your counter-notice to: [email protected]

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will:

  1. Forward a copy to the original complainant within 2-3 business days
  2. Inform them that we will restore the content within 10-14 business days
  3. Restore the content unless the copyright owner files a court action seeking a restraining order


Repeat Infringer Policy


RZX.bio maintains a three-strike policy for copyright violations:

  1. First Strike: Warning and content removal
  2. Second Strike: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days) and content removal
  3. Third Strike: Permanent account termination

We reserve the right to immediately terminate accounts in cases of:

  1. Egregious or willful infringement
  2. Commercial copyright piracy
  3. Multiple simultaneous violations

Strikes remain on your account for 12 months from the date of infringement.


False or Abusive DMCA Notices


Submitting false or misleading copyright claims may result in:

  1. Legal liability under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f))
  2. Potential damages and attorney's fees
  3. Being blocked from submitting future notices

We may share information about abusive filers with other platforms.


What Is NOT Copyright Infringement


Please note that DMCA notices should only be used for copyright infringement. Do not use this process for:

  1. Trademark disputes (contact us at [email protected])
  2. Privacy concerns (use our Privacy Request Form)
  3. Defamation or personal attacks (report via Community Standards)
  4. Other Terms of Service violations (use the report feature on the profile)


Limitations and Safe Harbor


RZX.bio operates as a platform that hosts user-generated content. Under the DMCA safe harbor provisions:

  1. We do not pre-screen or actively monitor user content
  2. We act expeditiously to remove infringing content when properly notified
  3. We have no knowledge of specific infringing activity
  4. We do not receive financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity


Educational Fair Use


We recognize that certain uses of copyrighted material may constitute fair use under copyright law, including:

  1. Commentary and criticism
  2. News reporting
  3. Teaching and education
  4. Research and scholarship
  5. Parody

However, fair use determinations are complex and fact-specific. If you're unsure, consult a legal professional before posting.


International Copyright


While RZX.bio is based in the United Kingdom, we respect international copyright laws including:
